Ohio fire dept. mourning loss of firefighter-paramedic

Fire officials said Brian Poole was a "man who always had a smile on his face and was a vital piece of DFD Company 11"

DAYTON, Ohio — The City of Dayton has announced the death of a firefighter and paramedic.

Brian Poole died Wednesday afternoon while off duty.

“We are asking that you respect the family's privacy during this difficult time,” said a statement from the city. “Funeral arrangements are pending.”

The cause of death has not been released.
