NEW YORK — “Good Morning America” anchors Michael Strahan and Jesse Palmer, former NFL players, marked International Firefighters’ Day with FDNY firefighters.

ABC News reported that FDNY Chief Frank Rosciano and Capt. Brian Voos guided Strahan and Palmer through a simulated fire at the FDNY training facility.

The anchors, wearing official FDNY gear, were also joined by actor Denis Leary.

Strahan joined the ladder company, which goes into the building first to locate the origin of a fire; Palmer was part of the engine company, puling fire hose and extinguishing the fire.

After the event, Leary led a charity event for his foundation, which challenged teams to a competition to experience what firefighters deal with on a daily basis.
