RAYNHAM, Mass. – Hot weather complicated matters for firefighters as they attempted to put out a fire at a home on Elm Street East in Raynham Wednesday.
The Cape Cod style house had flames shooting from the roof when firefighters arrived. By the time the flames were out the home was charred.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital with heat exhaustion. Raynham Fire Chief James Januse said temperatures above 90 degrees made it more difficult to fight the flames.
