BALTIMORE, Md. — Three women were injured, one critically, and taken to a hospital after a house caught fire in northeast Baltimore early Thursday morning, fire officials said.
When firefighters arrived at around 4 a.m. in the 2900 block of Glendale Avenue, near the Baltimore County line, they found two women hanging out of a second-story window and brought them down, fire department spokesman Ian Brennan said. The women were taken to the burn unit at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in serious condition.
A third woman was found unconscious on the second floor inside the home, Brennan said. She was also taken to Bayview in critical condition. The fire was extinguished quickly, Brennan said.
Two firefighters from the scene were taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
