CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two firefighters were injured while battling an apartment fire on Buckeye Road in Cleveland, Friday night.
Officials said part of the roof fell on the firefighters while they were inside the building.They were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Their injuries are not believed to be critical. Cleveland Interim Fire Chief Pat Kelly told FOX 8, that at one point, half of the force of the Cleveland Fire Department was at the scene fighting the fire, which started just after 8:30 p.m.
Kelly said the fire started between the first and second floor in an area that wasn’t occupied and spread quickly.
