NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A fire at a senior living community is out Wednesday night, but questions remain about safety.
Some residents at Bella Vista tell News 8 they didn’t know where to go when the fire alarms went off. Nearly 100 firefighters responded, as flames spread from the 13th floor utility room. “It was a hot fire, a smokey fire,” said Grant. Bella Vista High rise is home to hundreds of elderly and disabled, yet no mass evacuation, only those in direct danger were required to get out.
