2 firefighters injured after falling through floor

One of the firefighters was released from the hospital; the other is in stable condition with knee, lung and rib injuries

DORMONT, Pa. — Two Mt. Lebanon firefighters were injured when they fell through the second floor of a burning house Thursday in Dormont.

The smoky, four-alarm fire on the 2800 block of Crosby Avenue was reported about 10 a.m. Part of the roof collapsed while firefighters continued to douse the home with water. Homes on either side were evacuated.

The injured firefighters were taken to UPMC Mercy hospital. One of the firefighters has been released. The other is in stable condition with knee, lung and rib injuries.
