BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two New York firefighters were injured in a 2-alarm house fire early Tuesday morning.
The firefighters were trying to descend from the roof after ventilation operations when they fell 10 to 20 feet from a ladder, according to WIVB.
As the fire began to threaten two other vacant homes nearby, the shorthanded crew called a second alarm.
Investigators called the fire that destroyed the 3-story vacant home suspicious.
Both firefighters were treated and released from a local hospital.
