NEW YORK — Seven people, including three firefighters, were injured in a four-alarm apartment fire Thursday morning.
NY Daily News reported that four residents, who suffered smoke inhalation-related injuries, were rushed to a hospital and are listed in serious condition after the massive fire in the Bronx.
Three firefighters were injured while battling the blaze and have been listed in serious condition, officials said. The extent of their injuries have not been released yet.
“This is a wind-driven fire coupled with the harsh conditions of the weather has made this a difficult fire to attack,” a FDNY spokesman said.
Over 100 firefighters have responded to the scene and are still battling the flames, according to the report.
