LAUREL, Md. — Four firefighters were injured in a fire at an apartment building Thursday.
WUSA9 reported that the two-alarm fire came from the top floor of the three-story, eight-unit apartment building when crews got to the scene.
At least four firefighters were injured and three of them had to be transported to the burn unit. One of the three is being treated for serious burns to the hands, according to the report.
More than 20 residents and a pet dog were displaced by the fire. All of the residents escaped the building before firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
