ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Four firefighters were injured Sunday evening while responding to a house fire.
KSDK reported that the firefighters had to bail out of a window after becoming trapped inside the home and a Mayday call went out.
Two of the firefighters were taken to a hospital and were treated and released, according to the report. The other two were also transported to the hospital and relased Sunday evening. All four suffered burns, but none of the injuries are considered life-threatening, according to the report.
Officials say the residents of the home made it out safely before firefighters arrived.
The fire is believed to have started in the fireplace.
