MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Morgantown Police have charged four West Virginia University students for allegedly setting fires during St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Fire Capt. Ken Tennant said firefighters in Morgantown extinguished 18 Dumpster fires, 17 street fires and one vehicle arson.

He said four were charged with malicious burning in connection to several street fires:

-Stephanie Michelle Cross, a pre-nursing major from Wendel, Pa.

-Ryan Terence Cummings, a public relations major from Morgantown.

-Kyle Michael Jursik, a pre-physical education major from Flemington, N.J.

Tennant did not release the name of fourth student, a 17-year-old juvenile.

According to WVU Student Code, the four must go before the Student Conduct Board, where they could be suspended or expelled from the university.

Morgantown Police continue to investigate and more arrests could follow, Tennant said.
