GLENDALE, Ariz. — A firefighter is in the hospital after battling a fire that broke out at a Glendale home near 67th Avenue and Olive.
The fire broke out at a home just a block away from a fire station, and crews were on the scene in less than a minute. In fact, they saw the smoke from the station and got here before anybody had even called the fire in.
Unfortunately, one of the Glendale firefighters fell during the initial attack and hurt his ribs. He was taken to a nearby hospital for X-rays as a precaution. Meanwhile, there were people inside the home when the fire broke out. They were not only able to get out in time, but they were also able to knock on the neighbor’s door so they could get out as well.
