MILWAUKEE — The body of a woman was discovered Monday in a Milwaukee house that was damaged by fire three days earlier.
Police were investigating the burnt duplex in a follow up to a case of a missing person involving the homeowner.
The Milwaukee Fire Department originally responded to the fire on Friday night, but the body was not found until a forced entry and search of the debris on Monday.
Firefighters are reviewing protocols after two initial searches and a third search after the fire was extinguished failed to locate the body, which was located upstairs possible hidden from plain sight, according to WISN.
