Broken oil line sparks plant fire

Workers at the early morning blaze were able to contain the flames until firefighters arrived

RANSOM TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A broken oil line is blamed for an early morning fire at a business in Lackawanna County.

Firefighters responded to Cascades Tissue on Main Street in Ransom Township around 2 a.m. Thursday.

Authorities tell us a broken oil line to an industrial dryer sparked the fire at this business that makes paper products.

Workers were able to keep the fire contained until firefighters arrived.
