CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — A firefighter is recovering after suffering injuries while battling a house fire Wednesday night.
CBS 13 reported that firefighters believe the flames started when a man renting the home was cooking something on the stove .
Fire officials say he left the food on the stove, went back to the store and came home to a fire. The house renter received minor burns, according to the report. The injured firefighter was having problems breathing and was taken to a local hospital.
