ORLANDO — The Happiest Place on Earth got a little warmer on Friday. During a 3 p.m. parade at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Fla. on Friday, a float made to resemble the dragon Maleficent in “Sleeping Beauty” caught on fire.

According to park officials via Fox 13, the float is supposed to shoot a small burst of flames from it’s mouth (it is a dragon, after all), but the dragon’s head became engulfed in fire, as seen in guest photos and videos shared on social media.

No one was hurt and workers put out the flames quickly, according to Fox 13.

“RIP Maleficent,” one fan lamented on Twitter. “Was the coolest parade float ever.”

Videos of the incident show that the float was still operational even as it was on fire, with its mechanical head rising and falling as workers tried to put out the blaze with fire extinguishers. Other witnesses said online that nearly the entire Liberty Square section of the park was closed to deal with the blaze. And some before and after photos of the float show that the dragon certainly lost some color and looked a lot droopier after all was said and done.

Take a look at some of the witness photos below:
