SOUTH HAMPTON, N.H. — Firefighters say they had to wait to extinguish a fire in a South Hampton garage until ammunition stored in the garage had exploded.

The three-alarm fire Sunday morning destroyed a recreational vehicle and the garage.

South Hampton fire Chief Andy Head said there was also a shortage of water to fight the fire.

WMUR reported investigators believe the fire started in the camper.

It took crews about an hour to contain the blaze.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries.
