HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Hollywood’s fabled Magic Castle landmark was closed for Halloween (31Oct11) after a fire broke out at the venue.
A gala for members was cancelled as Castle bosses assess the damage caused by the mystery blaze earlier on Monday.
Over 120 Los Angeles firefighters raced to the estate to put the fire out. It is still not known what caused the blaze, which broke out during an electricity overhaul at the venue.
The fire was largely contained to the attic. No injuries have been reported as WENN went to press.
The Magic Castle is a nightclub and features shows from top magicians and magic enthusiasts.
