LOS ANGELES —Firefighters on Monday contained a blaze that ripped through part of a five-story condominium complex under construction in the San Fernando Valley.
No injuries were reported.
More than 200 firefighters were at the scene of the blaze to extinguish the last of the flames, said fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey.
Firefighters confined the blaze to one wing of the complex and more than three-quarters of the complex’s units appeared to have been spared, he said.
However, he said the developers will likely have to completely rebuild the damaged wing of the complex.
The cause of the fire, reported shortly before 9 a.m., remained under investigation.
