NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. — Firefighters drenched a burning home in North Augusta until water poured down the front stairs. The wet mess of debris created quite a contrast to the towering flames that tore apart the home.
“It was engulfed in flames and there was smoke everywhere. The windows were blown out, fire was pouring out of the chimney,” said Troy Hebbard who lived in the home on Savannah Pointe.
When he came home Wednesday afternoon he was greeted by flames swallowing his house. North Augusta Public Safety officials don’t know what caused the fire but they think it started in the back of the house.
