NEW YORK — A blaze in an office tower that soars from Manhattan’s financial district left six firefighters with minor injuries early Thursday, the Fire Department said.
More than 130 firefighters worked to quell the fire on the 29th floor at 80 Pine Street, the department said.
The 40-story building, a block from Wall Street, houses insurance companies, money management firms and other businesses.
Firefighters got the blaze under control just before 1:30 a.m., about an hour after it was reported. The cause was under investigation, and the extent of the damage wasn’t known.
