MISSION HILLS, Kan. — Quick, there’s a fire! What’s the first thing you grab?
For a Kansas woman, it may have been World Series tickets. After a fire erupted at Christine Maurer’s Mission Hills home, firefighters managed to rescue her World Series tickets before anything went up in smoke, according to KCTV. “I’m standing outside with my purse when I remember about the tickets. My daughter and her husband are driving home from South Dakota to go to the game,” Maurer said.
After an attempt to get back inside, firefighters assisted Maurer and brought the tickets out to her.
