GARDEN CITY, Idaho — A firefighter suffered a minor injury after being shocked by a downed power line while fighting a 3-Alarm fire that threatened to torch a nearby charter school, officials said.

The fire broke out just before 5:30 p.m. at a building on East 43rd Street, between Adams Street and Chinden Boulevard.

Once crews arrived on scene, they found heavy flames coming from the large, two-story metal and wooden building and quickly called for a second alarm. Not long after, a third alarm was called due to high temperatures and the threat to Anser Charter School, which is adjacent to the building that was on fire.
