MADISON, Ill. — A firefighter was injured after lit candles started a house fire Monday night.
KMOV reported that the injured firefighter was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Fire crews responded to the scene and quickly got the flames under control.
Firefighters believe the fire started from the lit candles, which were being used as a light source since electricity had been shut off at the home, according to the report.
