GLENVIEW, Ill. — Firefighters rescued two people from a burning building overnight, after huge fire tore through a high-rise condo building in Glenview.
CBS 2’s Dana Kozlov reports residents at 3925 Triumvera Dr. were jolted awake when a fire started in a 9th floor condo shortly before 12:30 a.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find heavy flames and smoke pouring out of the window of the unit on fire.
“I heard the fire alarm. I went out on the terrace. I saw a fire. I yelled for us to get out,” resident Bonnie Brandt said. Firefighters ran through the building to get people out, and rescued two people from a 9th floor balcony, just a few feet away from the flames.
