NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Investigators are looking for leads in an arson case this weekend. They say that fire was intentionally set to hurt firefighters.
North Las Vegas and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue firefighters showed up to this vacant home around 4pm Saturday. They bust through the front door and extinguished the flames. It took 15 minutes for 27 firefighters to contain the blaze. They believe this to be the work of an arsonist with one goal in mind.
“It was determined not only was this fire an arson fire, but that it was deliberately set in order to injure firefighters,” says Captain Cedric Williams with the North Las Vegas Fire Department.
