FOUR OAKS, N.C. — A former fire chief and volunteer firefighter died Saturday after suffering a medical emergency while battling a house fire.
FireNews.net reported that Former Fire Chief Thomas Gerald Lee, 67, responded to a house fire Friday evening. He was the former chief at Four Oaks Fire and was currently volunteering with Blackmon’s Crossroads Fire as well as Four Oaks Fire, according to the report.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at Beulah Christian Church with the funeral following on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Beulah Christian Church, 1701 Keen Road, Four Oaks, N.C. 27524. There will be a processional from the church to downtown Four Oaks and back to the church cemetery where he will be buried.
