THORNDIKE, Maine â Maine fire officials say a man was hospitalized after he threatened firefighters and tried to prevent them from putting out a fire in a shed behind his Thorndike home.
No firefighters were injured after they responded to the fire Saturday morning.
Sgt. Ken Grimes of the state fire marshalâs office told WMTW there are some âunusual circumstancesâ about the fire.
Firefighters said the man became physical and had to be restrained. He was taken to a Bangor hospital.
Officials did not release the homeownerâs name.
The investigation by the state fire marshalâs office and the Waldo County Sheriffâs Office is ongoing.
