WALKER, Mich. — A firefighter is recovering from minor injuries Sunday after falling through the ceiling of a duplex that caught fire.
Mlive reported that firefighter Jeff DeYoung, with the Walker Fire Department, fell about eight feet into an unoccupied part of a duplex building.
Firefighter DeYoung suffered minor cuts and bruises and was treated at the hospital and released, according to the report.
“At least he was not injured very badly,” Bob Walker, deputy director of fire operations, said. “He’s going to be OK.”
There were no other injures during the fire.
