Milwaukee apartment fire injures 5 firefighters

Three suffered minor burns, one had a minor shoulder injury and another suffered from heat exhaustion

MILWAUKEE — Five firefighters were taken to hospitals Monday after battling a two-alarm fire on Milwaukee’s northwest side.

Three suffered minor burns, one had a minor shoulder injury and another suffered from heat exhaustion, Fire Department spokeswoman Tiffany Wynn said.

The firefighters were battling a fire at an eight-unit apartment building in the 9000 block of N. 95th St.

The fire was reported at 11:50 a.m. and declared under control at 12:27 p.m., Wynn said. No residents were injured, Wynn said.
