NORTH BERGEN, N.J. — A four-alarm fire in New Jersey left one firefighter injured and hundreds of residents homeless.
The fire broke out at 9201 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in North Bergen just after 5 p.m., according to Mayor Nicholas Sacco and threatened to spread to an adjacent building forcing both to be evacuated.
The fire was so intense the smoke could be seen across the river in Manhattan.
