UTICA, N.Y. — A firefighter was injured late Tuesday night while battling a house fire.
WKTV reported that the firefighter suffered an eye injury while fighting the fire, but has been treated and released.
Three people lived in the home and all escaped safely, accoring to the report. However, a family pet did not survive.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
