Mulberry, IND. — A fire destroyed All-American Awards in downtown Mulberry. Now the owners of the building said thank you to the firefighters.
Pizza and chicken wings are not the usual fire house dinner fare for the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department. The meal was a thank you from the owners of All-American Awards, a building these firefighters from 12 departments fought to save last week. It was just another day on the job for them, but many said it felt good to have their work recognized.
“It was pretty moving they actually cared enough that they wanted to say thank you to us. Most people we go and do our jobs and leave and we don’t ever talk to them again,” said Volunteer Firefighter Casey Anes.
