WETHERSFIELD, Conn. — A retired firefighter who was pulled from a burning home last week has died.
NBC Connecticut reported that firefighters, with the Wethersfield (Conn.) Volunteer Fire Department, identified the man as Keron Larkin.
“The pain of the tragic loss of Mr. Larkin, a longtime Wethersfield resident and former Wethersfield firefighter, will be felt by every member of the department and the entire community,” the fire department said in a news release.
Firefighters responded to the fire in the single-story ranch house on Nov. 18 and found Larkin unconscious on the living room floor. They pulled him from the house and to an ambulance waiting to take him to a hospital.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Larkin family during this time of great sadness,” the fire department said in a statement.
