MISSOURI CITY, Texas — Missouri City homeowners may be able to see lower insurance costs as a result of a decision by the Texas Department of Insurance to give the city an improved Public Protection Classification rating.
The rating, formerly known as an Insurance Service Office rating, will be raised for a 4 to a 3 beginning Sept. 1, according to information from the City of Missouri City.
“This translates into impacting the lowering of insurance costs for Missouri City homeowners and it is in great part due tto the extraordinary effort of our city government,” said Missouri City Fire Chief Russell Sander.
