EL PASO, Texas — The El Paso Fire Department responded to 12 cooking-related fires on Thanksgiving Day.
All of them occurred between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., officials said.
No injuries or significant damage was reported, said Fire Department inspector John Concha.
“They were all food left in the stove or oven and caused houses to fill up with smoke,” he said.
Last year firefighters responded to 15 cooking-related fires.
