NEW YORK — An extra-alarm fire broke out Tuesday evening at a recycling center in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
The fire broke out around 7 p.m. Tuesday at the recycling plant at 860 Humboldt St. in Brooklyn, near Greenpoint Avenue, the FDNY said.
The raised to three alarms in the mid-evening, and four alarms early Friday morning. Part of the building collapsed, the FDNY said. A neighbor, Nicky Ocean, captured the flames on video as they engulfed the crumbling building.
