Woman, daughter killed in Pa. fire

Mom threw her other daughter, 11, out of 2nd-story window to run to find help; girl suffered burns all over her body, injuries from fall

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A deputy state police fire marshal has released the names of a woman and her daughter killed in a Shenango Township, Lawrence County, house fire.

Trooper David Yungling Jr. said the bodies of Lisa Oliver, 31, and Katherine Thomas, 8, were found by firefighters at about 1:30 a.m. at their home along Moravia Street., according to Channel 11’s news exchange partners at TribLIVE.

The trooper said the fire started in the home’s master bedroom, but determining its cause has been difficult because the home partially collapsed.
