GHANA, Africa — Fire officials suspended a fire chief after he allegedly attempted to sexually assault one of his female subordinates.
Citifmonline.com reported that the chief is alleged to have forced a 27-year-old woman to give in to his demands. The woman said the chief went to her house at midnight and told her that he wanted to bring her some dirty clothes to wash for him. He refused to leave and started to fondle her breast, she claimed.
She said the chief was very aggressive and threatened her life. She appeared to consent but ended up biting his penis. She called the fire station to report a house fire near where she lives. In less than 10 minutes, a fire truck arrived and she took them to the room where the chief was lying in a pool of blood.
The chief was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated and later released.
A fire department spokesman said he could neither confirm nor deny the story. An investigation is underway.
