TUCSON, Ariz. — After many months of deliberation, the Mountain Vista Fire District board named Cheryl Horvath as their new fire chief.
Horvath left her division chief job with Northwest Fire District, bringing 23 years of progressive fire service to the young department. Throughout her career, Horvath held the ranks of captain, battalion chief and division chief.
Chief Horvath’s education includes a bachelor’s degree in program management from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in public administration from Anna Maria College.
