FRANKFORT, Ky. — An auditor found 800 pornographic videos on office computers and $123,000 in questionable spending at a Ky. volunteer fire department.
The auditor says he found questionable spending from former Garrett Area Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief Terry Triplett, according to the Herald-Leader.
Triplett has been reported missing since March, fleeing town in an allegedly stolen department vehicle.
Officials initially thought Triplett’s disappearance was a product of foul play, but phone records showed that he has been in four different states and is likely avoiding the pending legal charges he faces.
Among the questionable charges are $62,000 in questionable cash withdrawals, $16,500 in restaurant charges, $4,600 in gift cards and $839 for fireworks.
Auditors told the Herald-Leader that Triplett also bought personal items with department funds, including a vehicle, televisions, laptop and alcohol.
In addition, pornographic videos were found on department computers and external hard drives.
The spending occurred between 2006 and March 2012.
