NEW YORK — New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said a retired New Jersey locksmith has agreed to stop selling New York master keys online.
Daniel Ferraris agreed to stop selling the keys on eBay after an undercover New York Post reporter bought a five-key ring last week.
Some open New York electrical panels and lamppost lights. One key opened phased-out fire alarm boxes.
One may be a key firefighters use for lifts, with others belonging to workers who have access to city sites.
