ATLANTA — Firefighters gathering in Atlanta for Fire-Rescue International on Thursday took a break from the main event to discuss with CNN how firefighting has changed since 9/11.
Fire Chiefs Jack Parow, Billy Goldfeder, and Mark W. Light spoke on a variety of issues related to the IAFC’s annual event.
Fire department budgets cuts amid a difficult economy, new firefighting technology and the significance of the 10-year anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks were at the center of the discussion.
