LAS VEGAS — Two Nevada firefighters were hurt in a fatal ambulance crash that killed one woman Tuesday morning.
A 63-year-old North Las Vegas woman was being transported in an ambulance with its lights and sirens on when a car drove through an intersection on a green light and struck the vehicle, according to KTNV.
The ambulance rolled onto its side and the woman later died at the hospital. It is unclear if she died from injuries sustained during the crash or as a result of a pre-existing medical condition.
The firefighters, an EMT and two MedicWest personnel were in the ambulance when it was hit and were taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car that struck the ambulance also received minor injuries.
