COCOA, Fla. — A crew of firefighters and paramedics have gone beyond saving a life — they’re showing they’re good neighbors as well.
The crew rescued an 81-year-old man from an ant attack last Wednesday, and then came back and pressure-washed his front walk. Jack Hurdt still can’t get over it. He can’t stop marveling at what happened when he was pressure cleaning.
He sprayed a bunch of ants, and the ants started biting, and before Jack knew it, he was collapsing. “Went about 15 feet, pushed the doorbell. Next thing I knew, I was on the ground. I was out,” he said.
