BOSCAWEN, N.H. — A Penacook Rescue ambulance was sent to the shop last night, after a rescue worker was injured while putting out a small fire underneath the hood, the Boscawen fire chief said.

Fire Chief Ray Fisher said the incident involved a very minor electrical fire. The ambulance was returning from a call around 9 p.m. when the fire was discovered.

A crew member used dry chemical to extinguish the fire and inhaled some of the chemical.

He was taken to Concord Hospital as a precaution, Fisher said.

A garage had recently installed a new engine in the vehicle, Fisher said.
