LAREDO, Texas — Five firefighter training cadets are in the hospital after being involved in a head on collision on the way to their training facility.
The five cadets were reportedly on their way back to the training facility from their lunch break.
The accident happened at the intersection of Mines Road and World Trade Center Loop. According to police, it all happened when a gold F-350 failed to yield right of way at the stop sign crossing into oncoming west bound traffic.
The five cadets, traveling in a white vehicle, t-boned the truck at about 60 miles per hour causing that truck to spin out of control and into a semi truck also traveling westbound.
