TEXARKANA, Texas — An East Texas firefighter is recovering at a Shreveport hospital after he was seriously injured while battling a fire Monday morning.
Dakota Huddleston, a driver/engineer with the Texarkana Fire Department is listed in fair condition in the ICU at University Health in Shreveport, after a cinder block wall collapsed on him as he helped battle a blaze at workshop at home in Doddridge, AR.
His father, Dennis Huddleston, said Dakota has a broken leg and pelvis, several broken vertebrae and a punctured bladder.
