POMEROY, Wash. — A firefighter and a four-year-old girl died in a car accident Saturday afternoon.
KHQ.com reported that Martin Heieren was traveling westbound in a pickup truck when he drifted over the center line and collided with another vehicle. The other driver, 54-year-old Donald Coleman, was not injured in the crash.
Firefighter Heieren died on the scene. His passenger, four-year-old Nevaeh Davenport, was transported to a hospital, where she later died.
All of the parties involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
